Instructions on how to get your EMonIt tracking system to work for you:

Getting information from the GPS unit into your account is a simple two step process:

  • Step 1. Import the data (will vary depending on what device your using)
  • Step 2. Assign the data to a horse / rider

Step 1. Importing data using the EMonIt GPS tracking device

The EMonIt unit is an easy one step import process. When you purchase your unit the device will be automatically connected to your account. This means you simply plug your unit into your PC or your local track kiosk and all the information from the device in loaded into your account. That's it

Importing data using your existing GPS device

  • That's correct, If you have your own GPS device it could be used with EMonIt system.
  • For a list of devices that are compatible with EMonIt click here
  • Some devices can be directly connected to the EMonIt system, others require an additional import step. For a list of devices that are EMonIt ready click here

Additional import step for those units that are not EMonIt connect ready

  • When you register you will be asked for the device model if you already have a GPS tracking unit
  • This will allow the EMonIt system to convert your data for easy importing
  • You will find an Import link on your Dashboard (You must be logged in)
  • This link will ask for a file to import
  • To create a file depends on the device you have

Step 2. Assigning your data (you must be logged in to the EMonIt website)

  • Simply go to the assign tab and you will be presented with the different runs for the day
  • Each run you can select the horse and rider, and additional notes if required
  • Now click the assign button, Your done

Viewing your runs

  • Go to the report tab (You must be logged in)
  • The report section displays the latest runs. Changing the search dates will allow you to see any runs
  • From here you can view the details and sectional time
  • The Chart Run will show you the speed zones on the actual track. This allows you to see the various coloured speed zones on the track
  • The Speed Chart shows a more detailed view of speed for each sectional
  • From the details screen you can see the data on Google Earth. This allows better detailed analysis and great for rider training. You can see the breakdown in speed and where it was used on the track.

Share you horse results

Compare results report. This allows you to compare different horses or the same horse over time

New feature you are able to share your horses with others. It's easy to use. Simply go to "Your Horses" section in the dashboard and click edit on the horse you would like to share. Now enter their email address and name and that’s it. They will be sent an email invitation. They will then be asked to register or login to EMonit. If they accept then your horse will be added to their report results. You can specify a date range if you like so they can only see some of the results
